Have you noticed how easy it is to lose track of things?
Anything from your cell phone to your keys. Your wallet to your headphones. Your time to your sanity. I’ve found that the further I progress into this experience known as life, the deeper I go, time is becoming more and more of a rare commodity. Time literally flies, not only in moments of fun, but also in times of stress, frustration and maximum grind.
Time will fly regardless. It ain’t gon’ wait!
In the midst of time loss, one thing I’ve noticed happening is how ones perspective shifts. You’ll find yourself start running around trying to deal with all the tasks and errands that are right in front of your nose and losing the reason for why you’re doing what you doing in the first place.
But u know what, just as nobodies ever gone broke from being generous, stress and anxiousness won’t get you to your destination any quicker than bein’ cool with it! ‘Cause, what good is it to be über productive, if you lost track of where you goin’? It’s like you’re driving 200 mph towards “?” Awesome, I’m going so fast! But wait, where am I headed…? Oh, crap…umm… yea…
So, friends, I just wanna suggest that in times of confusion due to your goals & targets being blurred, relax! Hang back and just kick it for a second!
Find yourself! Find that drive that got you into your life trajectory in the first place. Spend some time and invest in yourself. Why are you really doin’ what it is you’re doin’?
Appreciate your life!
Remember, there are people on this planet that dream of just getting ONE SIP of water, there are people that dream of just ONE BITE of anything, there are people that dream of having a bed, there are people that dream of having somebody they can talk to.
Wdup Fam! Don’t you love it when you come across an artist that you haven’t really heard of and then you go check ‘em out and they turn out to be nothin’ short of amazing? Well, check out Anthony David. He was featured on BET’s Music Matter thing and he is awesome.
Not the kind that you may feel in your belly due to you skipping a meal. But the one that burns in your heart, the kind that makes you skip meals in the first place, the kind that makes you frown your brows a little in attempt to enhance your focus towards feeding that burning desire to accomplish whatever it is you want to have accomplished.
This kind of hunger, just as the belly related one, comes and go’s.
At the beginning of last year, I was starving. I had an opportunity to put the pedal to the metal in advancing my career and ambitions. And so I did. I did everything I could to move forward. I had some success. But just as their are foods you don’t like, and so not every opportunity I jumped on was one that rendered to any tangible success.
After all the ups and downs, you eventually get tired and it’s like your hunger and focus just says “Hooold up, what’s goin on here? U know wut, Imma just chill on the couch ’til you decided whats really goin on!”.
I guess this is the way it is, friends, in all journeys of our lives. Not everything will go the exactly the way you might of thought. Unfortunately, there is no GPS or Google Maps to life and achieving your dreams and ambitions.
All we can do is keep going, don’t be discouraged! You are not alone in feeling whatever it is you might be feeling now or later. Take a break, re-focus.
I’ve been creatively idle for a lil while now, and I’ll tell ya, I’m about ready to hit up a buffet…
